Job Readiness/ Job Search Classes for welfare recipients- They cost -20 in taxpayer dollars for gas cards and bus passes per recipient.

Section 8 Vouchers- They benefit too few Americans.

Non-labor jails- The 13th Amendment says they should work to pay their debt to society.

Barbara Walkers family has run the town since 1953, but when she lost her husband Johnny to cancer in 2006, she found that maintaining the town was too difficult to do alone. She made the decision that it was time to sell Pray and move on to new opportunities.

But Walker said being the owner of Pray doesnt have to be a difficult job. The town is pretty low-maintenance, she said. You collect the rent once a month and water and mow the lawn. I’m hoping somebody buys it because they want to do something with it.

This five-acre property features a historic 1950s-style store with two commercial spaces within and space to expand into the remaining five rooms. The store is filled with several antique artifacts that are included in the sale. This build qualifies for historical designation with the State of Montana. The town also has a newer energy-efficient building with commercial space and an apartment. Pray also has established rental income with a U.S. Post Office land lease for their building, which provides the town with its own zip code.

A zip code thats it, plain and simple, Walker said. It was the reason for Pray becoming Pray in 1909 and thats the reason its called a town today.

Pray is located in the heart of Paradise Valley and only 22 miles from Livingston, Mont., 30 miles from Gardiner, Mont., and 30 miles from Yellowstone National Park. It is also near Chico Hot Springs Resort and Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness, which offers over 1,000,000 acres of forest land for the public to access year-round.

Buying a Second Home in Park City Utah

Park City Utah is a great place to consider buying a second home. If you enjoy a variety of outdoor recreational activities year round then Park City just might be the place to consider purchasing. Whether it’s world class skiing in the winter or golfing, hiking, biking and fishing in the summer.

There are 3 ski resorts in Park City which include Deer Valley Resort, The Canyons Resort and Park City Mountain Resort and several more a short drive away. Deer Valley was rated #1 by Ski Magazine in 2005 and is one of only four skier only ski resorts. It’s also know for it’s customer service, quality groomed slopes and delicious food. There are several more ski resorts a short drive away.

Park City’s close proximity to a major airport has really helped drive more people to buy here. Time is valuable and there are over 100 non-stop destinations from the Salt Lake International Airport which is a short 30-45 minute drive up Interstate 80. You can essentially take a morning flight from the East Coast and being on the slopes skiing that afternoon. The gated ski in ski out community of Deer Crest at Deer Valley Resort can be reached from the Salt Lake Airport without ever encountering a stop light.

If you are interested in putting your home or condo in a nightly rental pool, there are several property management companies in Park City to choose from. Property management companies typically take 40% to 60% of the gross rental revenue in exchange for providing their services. One typically makes enough off rental income to offset home owners associations dues and property taxes.

If you want someone to watch your property but do not want to put your property in a rental pool there are several property management companies that can help with that as well. Some will even stock your home or condo with food and beverages prior to your arrival and many other services depending on their clients needs.

You will find both full ownership opportunities and fractional ownership opportunities in Park City Utah. Some second home buyers are electing to go with fractional ownership since they don’t use the property all the time and they can get more for their money. There are fractional ownership opportunities at Deer Valley Resort and The Canyons Resort as well as a new project that is underconstruction on Main Street in Park City and close to the Town Lift for the Park City Mountain Resort.
